    • If robots are to work effectively in homes and other non-industrial environments, the way they are instructed to perform their jobs, and especially how they will be told to stop will be of critical importance. The people who interact with them may have little or no training in robotics, and so any interface will need to be extremely intuitive. Science fiction authors also typically assume that robots will eventually be capable of communicating with humans through speech, gestures, and facial expressions, rather than a command-line interface. Although speech would be the most natural way for the human to communicate, it is quite unnatural for the robot. It will be quite a while before robots interact as naturally as the fictional C-3PO.

Pytanie #1:

Do the children of Liberal socialists have a voice in whether they will grow up...?

. . . in a free country with opportunities for success, or will they be forced to join in with a robotic society created by their socialist parents, where the government calls all the shots ?
Oh Lookie: It's obvious you are unable to answer a simple question without attacking - - indeed you must be one of those liberal children that never grew up. I pity you.
brown950: What does religion have to do with it ? You're ranting again.
Yellow alarm clock: I think I understand all too well; you've been led down the kool-aid path.

Pytanie #2:

Is it worth numbing my heart after a break up?

What is better, emotional agony or robotic numbed emotions

Pytanie #3:

Does anyone know what this video game is?

I can not remember if it was Nintendo 64 or PlayStation One game, but I do remember that it had a girl and boy with a robotic flying dog. You went to places and fought against each other in arenas. I can not seem to remember the name of it though. My friend and I used to fight about who got to play the dog, since he was the only character that could fly.

Pytanie #4:

If I dressed in a japanese middle school uniform, had a metal robotic type collar around my neck and?

had some fake blood all over and carried a weapon of sorts for Halloween - would you know who/what I was trying to be? I'm afraid no one is going to know what I am.
don't judge me because YOU don't know what movie/book I'm talking about!

Pytanie #5:

hi..can anybody tell me by doing IT there any scope to do robotics?

Pytanie #6:

Robotics or Key Club?

I only have time for one of these extracurricular activities, and I'm torn. :/
Robotics pros: Looks nice to colleges, traveling involved, with a couple friends, something new and interesting.
Cons: I know very very little about robotics, and I'm a little more interested in Key Club.
(Key Club is a mainly a lot of volunteer work, helping with school events, etc.)
Pros: I'm interested in this sort of thing, I'll get to spend some time with friends in Key Club.
Not really anything for cons. I was wondering, though, if Colleges care that I was in Key Club?

I only have time for one of these because I work with mentally disabled kids after school and it consumes most of my time. Just any tips or suggestions would be helpful? I'm a Freshman, and I'm nervous and clueless. (: Thanks!

Pytanie #7:

Has Anyone Ever Given Such a Boring Robotic Speech as President as Badly as Obama's Last Night?

I watched for about two minutes and he was awful. It was like listening to a machine slowly grinding out a few words--and he had no emotion, no delivery, no passion, no interest in what he was saying even...

I was shocked to see how far obama's gift of gab has fallen into boring rhetorical drivel.

What say you ?

Pytanie #8:

Pytanie #10:

When did Nancy Pelosi die?

Washington DC insiders know that Nancy Pelosi is really an embalmed corpse that is robotically controlled by mechanisms hidden within the corpse.

By the state of decomposition that has occurred, it appears that the corpse has been deceased for roughly four years. This is consistent with the observation that the real Nancy Pelosi died shortly before the 2006 election, and the Democrats couldn't let the world know for fear of altering the outcome of the election.

So they hurriedly embalmed her and imbedded the robotic control mechanisms. The early release of the software had a few bugs in it, as evidenced by the robot's nonsensical promise that the Democrats would be "the most ethical government ever."

This malfunction led to a series of software upgrades. There were still a few glitches, which is what led to the Pelosi zombie jumping up and down like a jack in the box and applauding wildly after every sentence of the president's State of the Union address.

In the latest release of the software, the White House has the power to take manual control of Pelosi if any such malfunction occurs in public again.

Do you think this is a good explanation of Pelosi's behavior over the past four years?
Victor, that is a "wish list" item to fix. They are still having trouble controlling words and actions separately. They will work on making those things CONSISTENT once they get each thing under control separately.

They're afraid of coupling too many variables all at once, or she might start turning handsprings in the halls of Congress.

Pytanie #11:

What anime is this that I can not remember?

I remember watching it as a kid on adult swim and I loved it. The main character had something wrong with him that he had a orange robotic arm, there were also people with the same disease or something but their powers were very different. I remember at one point in the series he had amnesia. Also at another point he fights some super powerful guy in a forest and afterwards gains more power. Sorry if this is to vague.

Pytanie #12:

Voice editing program? (damn 20 character rule)?

I'm wondering if there are any good voice-ediding programs out there?
Like, to download...or buy would be fine I guess...but download, preferred.
I really need something that will kind of...make my voice sound robotic, but still kind of keep how it sounds, like the pitch and whatnot....and also maybe just clean up my voice and make it higher-quality.

Thanks so much!!!

Pytanie #13:

How can i choose a college major if i have too many interests?

i thought about throwing darts, but apparently that's unprofessional...I'm interested in physics, biology, artificial intelligence, robotics, and ecology. i really just want to learn about the workings of pretty much everything, but i don't think they make a college for that...so how did you choose a college major? is there any advice for interdisciplinary study out there? thank you for the help and such :)

Pytanie #14:

is todays society is boring and robotic?

I m 43 and i find a lot has changed in this so called modern world. the younger generation seem to be soulless and reserved. foreign people seem to stick to themselves, and people native to this country, wont talk to you unless they know you. A definite cold society, i know half of you will say ,if you don't like it go, most of you that will go against what i say , areproperlyy the ones that have killed it of for every one else?

Pytanie #15:

Could the government learn something from Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics"?

1.A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2.A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3.A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Replace the word robot with government
you're right, mob rule is a poor idea... let's face it most people are sheep, probably myself included ;)

anyway, I think #2 is more of a 'servant of the people' thing rather than serving themselves which they currently do...

Pytanie #16:

Pytanie #24:

What's this song called? Just heard it and wanna listen to it, but i don't know the title?

I heard it on 95.7 the Vibe. it was a trance kind of song. the beginning, you can't understand what she's saying, coz that's how the song is. her voice is kind of robotic and techno like. then the first line was "In the dark night". I didn't get to hear the rest coz we got the school and the radio went off. Please let me know?

Pytanie #25:

How bad of a jerk was I?

To let you know right off the bat: I'm a philosophical thinker. I meditate a lot, try to think about things as rationally as possible, and hold any sign of emotion in while telling nothing but the truth; I'm also an admittedly silly jerk. I can't talk without making some reference that I find humorous, and that most others often find humorous as well.

Here's the story:

Since I am constantly joking about everything I thought my son's mother, who I keep in contact with as friends, would know and be used to this. Apparently - someone who's more serious than myself can't stand me when they're stressed. The conversation started off alright, I was mostly making her feel better about being stressed. I then decided to take the reigns and pull them tighter by making her laugh and enjoy the conversation; still good so far. This is the hard part: The conversation took a sudden turn towards awkwardness. She stated something that may or may not have been a joke and I was 'weirded' out by it. I implied nothing more than the fact that it was really awkward while laughing it off, and she then said that I'm always negative.

I have never in my life been called negative by anyone other than her. I'm not sure if she's not used to people constantly joking about everything, even the stuff that she knows I feel awkward about, or if she was just saying this out of stress; she tells me that she gets stressed when she talks to me 'cause she knows that I'm going to say something negative.

Example:
-She's starting to see someone else.
-I joke around by saying that he has the face of a guy that's going to have a receding hair-line.
-We laugh while she says that he won't.
-I keep along with the playfulness by chuckling and saying he will.

Through all of the laughing about it I missed the part where she had a sudden strike of stress, because that's something she stated she felt I was negative about nearing the dreadful ending of our conversation. I'm not seeing where I'm negative whatsoever, as everything I say we laugh and play around about. I've been called a lot of things throughout my life, mostly by jerks who I've never actually come in contact with, but negative isn't one of them - until now.

In a sudden state of emotional hurt, feeling that my heart had sunk into my stomach and began squeezing it, I burst out telling her how hurt I was by that statement. I couldn't help myself by being kind of a jerk during the sudden calamity, mostly because I haven't cried in (capitol/bold/underline/italicize) years (end c/b/u/i), and thus wasn't able to control my tone of voice. But, I couldn't stop myself from being so angry at her being able to be stressed while I was meant to say almost nothing - or robotic tells of the bull-crap everyone else feeds their friends throughout their "times of need". She now only wants to call me to let me know how our son is doing.

I just feel so justified. But the way she gets angry makes me feel like I was in the wrong, even though I've never had to question any decision I've ever made. How bad of a jerk was I? Did I have any right whatsoever to be angry that she would just be so offended by something she should recognize after years of knowing me? Or should I feed in to her emotional needs without saying anything? I won't go in details of everything that was said exactly, but this gist should give you a general idea.

Pytanie #26:

Song on America's Next Top Model?

There was a song I heard on an America's Next Top Model short commercial. It was sung a a girl and/or girlS. It had cool sounds, almost robotic. And when the song was playing, they were showing the girls walking down the walk-way, and one of them was African-American and was wearing a red bathing suit.

It was somewhere between 2007-2008. I can't remember which season (because I never watch ANTM), but it was a really cool song with robotic sound almost, and it was talking about a "race car." It was awesome.

I know this isn't a detailed description of the song, but I haven't even been able to find the commercial of it, and I've checked many times on YouTube. PLEASE HELP! It seems like a really cool song.

Pytanie #28:

Why don't they give Stephen Hawking a British voiced sound box?

Stephen Hawking is British, yet his robotic voice box setup speaks in an American accent. Why didn't they just get him a comparable box that spoke with British english? I am sure if he was in a better capacity to communicate on his own he would probably prefer for a British voiced box.
Well I am sure he could have a British voiced one if he felt like it. Maybe the people that help him don't give a crap?

Pytanie #29:

Am I pregnant with an alien?

I was swimming in my pool at around 12 o'clock midnight, and out of nowhere there was this flashing light, and before I could tell where it was coming from, I could no longer see. All of a sudden, I felt this spiny, robotic... THING, creep down the front of my bikini bottoms, but I couldn't move or get away AT ALL, so I just stood there trying to scream, but no sound would come out. Suddenly, I felt the 'thing' penetrate my vaginal opening. It was cold and it hurt like nothing else I had ever felt before. I screamed, and I felt this blazing hot fluids burst out inside of me, and then it all stopped. When I was able to see again, I was surrounded in a cloud of blood, which was coming from my ripped open vagina.
It's been one month on Sunday since that happened, and I've been nauseous and lightheaded every night at the same time it happened... Please help. I'm scared.

Pytanie #32:

Game 9: Trabzonspor 1-2 Liverpool. Player ratings...?

Pepe Reina - Showed brilliant speed and awareness to come off his line and clean things up on a number of occasions. Distribution led to Kuyt's late goal. 8/10.

Glen Johnson - Easily our best outfield player on the night. Was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself, but can claim an assist for our first goal. 8/10.

Jamie Carragher - Solid enough defensively, but his impatient hoofs forward cost us possession too often. 5/10.

Soto Kyrgiakos - Solid enough. 6/10.

Martin Kelly - Defended reasonably well against Trabzon's right-wing captain and got forward when he could. 6/10.

Dirk Kuyt - Tapped in a late winner and kept possession well in the second half, although we could do with somebody more inventive on both wings. Kuyt is predictable and slow. 6/10.

Lucas Leiva - Kept possession well, but like Kuyt and fellow centre-mid Poulsen, he wasn't adventurous enough. 5/10.

Christian Poulsen - Slow and sluggish, but grew into the game, like he did in the first leg. 5/10.

Joe Cole - Wasn't helped by the lack of movement from his fellow midfielders, but seemed to have very little idea what to do with the ball whenever he got it. 5/10.

Fabio Aurelio - Same as Kuyt. So predictable and robotic. 5/10.

David N'Gog - Flashes of brilliance and some good hold up play. Played a big part in the equaliser. 6/10.

(SUB) Dani Pacheco - Lively from the moment he came on and his shot set up Kuyt's goal. 7/10.
(SUB) Ryan Babel - Also played a role in the second goal. 6/10.

Agree? Disagree? General comments about the game welcome :-)

Pytanie #33:

What do you think of Katy Perry's new songs/album?

HOLY CRAP!!! I just youtubed some of her new songs and it was the some of the worst stuff I've ever listened to. I tried to listen to the tracks thoroughly....but I couldn't....they were so bad. They are boring, predictable, sound the same, overly electro, vocals are too robotic, and the songs seem like they'll go on forever. Sounds like she needs to grow up too.

I'm a rocker that almost never listens to female artists, but for some reason her last album caught me at a couple points. Thinking of you had me listening to it 50 times when I first heard it, waking up in vegas was super catchy, and I really liked self inflicted.

But what's going on now?

Pytanie #34:

Pytanie #35:

What is my chance of acceptance?

I have a weighted 3.8 GPA which puts me in the top 5% of my class. I got a 33 composite on the ACT, a 740 on Math II subject test, and a 670 on Chemistry subject test.

Half of my community service (75 hrs) is tutoring and the other half (85 hrs) is guiding horses for mentally-ill childrens therapy.

I have won an academic award from the US Navy.

I am Robotics club and Science Bowl club president and held a place of leadership in NJROTC for two semesters.

I'm interested in the UofMichigan - Ann Arbor, UofWisconsin - Madison, UofIllinois - Urbana, and UofMaryland: College Park.
The navy preparation is not to go into the navy. It was to have leadership experience because AP classes that I wanted were during the leadership class at my school. I wanted to be voted into leadership both in extra-curricular activities and in a school organization.

Pytanie #36:

Has anything besides robotic rovers been on any other planet?

Sorry I forgot to fix my question last time so here it is again.

Pytanie #37:

Can you solve this logical problem?

A robotic grasshopper is placed at one side in a rectangular solid glass container. On the other side of the container is a door. When the grasshopper jumps, it would have 1/3 the distance from its initial position to the door. How many jumps should the grasshopper take to reach the door?

P.S. I already know the answer. This is just a school project where we have to survey logical thinking in math.

Pytanie #38:

How do I erase the robotic woman's voice that plays after my personal greeting on my voicemail?

There is an annoying voice after I speak on my recorded voicemail message, it goes something like "After the tone, record your message. If you would still like to leave a message, press 1 or stay on the line".

There was a website I used previously to DELETE this voice! It worked wonders. Where is it now?

Can I get into Marquette University?

First of all I'd like to thank you for looking and attempting to answer my question. So freshman and sophomore year I really slacked off and performed poorly in the classroom, ending up with a 2.95 GPA, pretty much a 3.0. After my junior year I raised it up to a 3.5 overall, and did really good, I took my SAT at got a 1940 total. Marquette is my dream school and I would like to major in engineering, I am really good at math and science and junior year received an A in both Physics and Algebra 2. I am in DECA which is a marketing activity and competed in state and international levels. I also am on the Robotics Team. I do Project X, which is community service and I got accepted into the NHS. I also play varsity golf for the school. The only thing I am worried about when it comes to applying are my freshman and sophomore grades. Thank you for reading, any input would be greatly appreciated.

garageband - singing with specified notes?

I am wanting to make my voice sound very robotic and i have a track with the vocal line written out in the score - what i want to have happen is that i sing and garageband changes my voice to that exact pitch (that is in the score) that way there is no fluctuations and the voice hits specific notes - does anyone know how to do that... or even know what I am saying?

Can anyone interpret this dream?

I dreamed that I attended my own funeral. It was in a big church and the place was full. I was alive in the dream too. When I looked up at my body, my eyes were open. It freaked me out. When I looked back at my body, my eyes were looking somewhere else. Then it moved. It became robotic. It turned out that my husband had made a funeral arrangement where instead of dying I'd be a robot. It sounds weird, but it freaked me out. All serious answers please.
btw, I'm in my 20's so let's 86 the burial plans talk! :^)

Pytanie #47:

omg, omg, omg im freaking out =(?

its school tomorrow, 8th grade, yay. But people have been bullying me, I never went to new schools, I have been in fort worth half of my life. Im always nervous because i now have drama theatre and im not very good in presentation (possibly because of my SAD i only choose it because its either robotics or tech education) im really nervous because i never "fit in" like not wearing those silly bands or be in athletic. Im short and im 13, people make fun of me they call me "Crazy Jessi" because im really sensitive.
Please help =( Im worried im going to have a break down.
sorry about sounding pathetic

Pytanie #48:

What profession would be right for me?

At the moment I'm doing the IB (Subjects: At HL: Eng, Span, Chem, Bio. At SL: Maths, History).
I'm about to start my second year and I still have absolutely no idea whatsoever about what to do when I finish. I know that I would like to continue studying, preferably in mainland europe.
I would like to do something in which I would work practically and hands-on. Nothing in the range of history, politics, english etc. but possibly something engineering related, however I have not done physics or maths at HL, so most fields are out of the question. I love making and constructing things, so naturally at one point I was quite interested in robotics and the like. Architectural engineering is also quite an appealing prospect. Yet, I doubt most of these options are even possible considering what subjects I've taken. Then comes the possibility of taking a foundation course. But now I'm unnecessarily bantering away.
I have to apply within the next coming months to something and I'm a little confused about what to do with my life.
So, whoever did stick around to the end of that, I greatly appreciate it and any suggestions about general directions or fields will be amazingly helpful.
Thank you :)

Pytanie #49:

How is engineering looking?

I am going into 9th grade at a magnet school for engineering. I think i will want to be an aerospace engineer or a robotics engineer when i grow up. My question is how it the employment outlook for those jobs? Is there tons of competition?
I know a lot more about aerospace engineering that i do about robotic engineering, so if you could tell me a little bit about robotics engineering that would be great. Things like salary, what exactly they do, who is hiring them ect.
Thanks in advance.

Pytanie #50:

Is their a contest for free laptops for educational use?

Is there a contest (like an essay contest) for a change to win a free laptop for educational use? I have a very cheap and slow laptop and am on a robotics and video game development team that requires use of huge programs. My computer can't handle most of them and has a terrible battery life (and other specs). It will be used for graphic design (Photoshop, Maya, etc.), and to control a robot. I'm in need of a computer with a better processor and what not-- but I simply can't afford it.

Much of the research in robotics focuses not on specific industrial tasks, but on investigations into new types of robots, alternative ways to think about or design robots, and new ways to manufacture them but other investigations, such as MIT's cyberflora project, are almost wholly academic.
